My knee still bothered me, so instead of running 1.5 miles today, I mowed the yard. Just to see how it would feel.
I ended up doing some tree trimming, weed pulling, weed whacking, and sweeping as well. The yard looks great, except for a huge patch of weeds where there should be a garden out front. I finally just sprayed them–hopefully that will work. Nettles among them, and I do not do well with itchy or stingy plants or insects (can you say steroid shots?).
I cannot stand doing nothing though. Since my knee felt okay enough after mowing, I decided to go for a little bike ride. I couldn’t ride my clipless though, because it’s the twisting action that hurts. Besides, my forearm continues to ache (especially after mowing). So I headed downstairs and rode my bike at varying levels of difficulty on my trainer without my clips. Good choice. I feel better about today.
Tonight? Golf league. Shhh, don’t tell my coach.
