Today is an off day. A much needed off day.
My husband has spent hours upon hours preparing for a trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Six of us spent 2.5 hours packing, vacuum-sealing, organizing, and labeling the food for 15 people for 10 days. That’s a lot of food. He has a video uploaded somewhere taken from his GoPro (yes, his–he bought it for us and I have yet to use it).
Today, I took him to school to pick up the van, then drove Dulce out to a great park for a walk!
I let her tear around the softball field first, then we headed out the Rails-To-Trails trail past the County Fairgrounds, then back and around the park. Enjoy the photographs of the very dry cornfields and Dulce on the trail!
I might add that the cracks in the agrilime (or gravel or whatever) path from the drought had grown so wide that a small dog could step into one of them. We haven’t had measurable rain for almost two months.
